Description
The Institute is located in the heart of Nize, "the
capital" of the Blue Coast, close to the stores,
beaches and the old city. It works in a mansion from the
early beginning of the century. The school provides between
15 and 20 weekly hours of cultural and leisure activities
(by an additional cost). In summer, not too far, the institute
opens the doors of its second center. In addition to the
morning lessons, afternoon classes, optional and free
of charge, are available. The student may ask the teacher
to prepare the material and exercises he will use to study
by himself. During these sessions, he can prepare his
study work for the next day, or simply improve your knowledge
by using special records, documents and books.
Lodging
The offered lodgings are: single or double room in family
houses, hotels or apartments to rent (1 to 4 people).
Academics
In the courses communicative methods are used. These gives
the students a best approach to grammar. All comes from
the student's book (that is given to them upon his arrival)
and permanently updated authentic documents. In the "study
afternoons", the knowledge acquired in company of
a professor is deepened. There are different programs.
The continuous course and the intensive one propose group
classes of 20 and 30 weekly lessons respectively. It is
also possible to combine these courses with individual
classes. The Express course works with more reduced groups
than in the other group classes. High School students
can prepare the examination of the end of studies in the
Bac Course. There are also courses of DELF exam preparation,
teachers training lectures and long courses.
Activities
After their arrival the students are given a free guide
with information of Nice and its region. In addition,
the school proposes cultural and leisure activities: in
the evening, afternoon and weekends - French films projections,
thematic evenings in the school, skittles, discotheques,
long walks, rafting, conferences, visits to the museums,
excursions with a professor, evenings in the beach, participation
in various Blue Coast parades -. As far as the nautical
sports, two short courses of initiation are offered according
to the season: sail (in July and August), and diving (from
February to November).
