Description
Lyon, the main city of France after Paris, is considered
a university city and one of the humanity patrimonies
by the UNESCO. It is located one hour and a half away
from the ski tracks in the Alps and, in TGV (train of
high speed), from beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Alliance Française of Lyon is located in
downtown, on the left side of the Rhône, and near
all kind of transports (bus, subway, tramway). Lodging
Various options are available depending on each person
requirements and needs : university lodgings, public
or private, Hostel, studio-flat, paying guest in a French
family. Academics
In order to elaborate the programs, the level and previous
training of the students are very important, as well
as the objectives and the extension of each course.
At the moment of the inscription, students must take
a written exam with the purpose of define their French
level. Groups have students of different nationalities,
and count between 12 and 17 people. Complementary studies
(workshops, language lab, conversation classes, EAO)
are optional, nevertheless, to frequent them aid to
reinforce and to accelerate the language learning .
It is possible to participate on the complementary courses
without being registered in the general courses. Activities
The Alliance Française organizes for the students
meetings within the tourist and cultural institution,
visits to cities and museums, trips outside Lyon and
also offers information to the students who want to
meet French people.
