Description
Paris Langues is located in the Fiap Jean Monnet Center,
in the heart of Paris, near Montparnasse and the Latin
Quarter. The Center has cafeteria, terrace, restaurant
and discotheque and regularly propose to the students
exhibitions, cultural activities, and concerts. The Tourist
Information Bureau have the schedule of all the Parisian
events.
Lodging
The students can lodge in the Fiap Jean Monnet Center
(in the same address of the school) or in family houses
from Paris or its suburbs. There is also possible to stay
in a teacher’s house.
Academics
The Center offer different courses: semi intensive, intensive,
super intensive, the special afternoon program and the
one of oral expression. The semi intensive course has
15 hours per week and develop the spoken French and the
pronunciation, the acquisition of grammar structures and
vocabulary, with the support of several audiovisual resources
and written expression. The intensive course has 21 hours
per week plus a cultural activity on Wednesdays, and is
designed for students who wish a fast progress. The super
intensive course have 25 hours per week plus a cultural
activity on Wednesdays, and in addition, four extra hours
oriented to the creative writing in small groups. The
special afternoon program (10 hours per week and a cultural
activity on Wednesdays) combines the conversation classes
with four additional hours of creative writing in small
groups. The course of oral expression of 6 hours per week
allows the students to concentrate themselves in the development
of spoken competitions, plus a cultural activity on Wednesdays
that exposes the students to diverse aspects of the French
society.
Activities
All Wednesdays afternoon, the school organizes a cultural
activity. The students discover Paris and the diversity
of the French civilization participating in the different
activities, for example: guided visits to museums in Paris,
kitchen classes, cinema, strolls on foot by Paris or in
bicycle.
