Description
Nice is one of the most beautiful cities in South Europe.
It is well-known by its enchantment, cultural inheritance,
relaxed way of life, generous weather and world-wide famous
"Promenade des Anglais". Nice has all the attributes
of a Mediterranean city. The Azurlingua school is located
in the heart of Nice and near its main commercial arteries.
It has traditional and modern resources: 12 classrooms,
a computer-room of free access and a living room with
French newspapers. In July and August a second building
receives the students who choose the summer courses in
the university campus.
Lodging
The Azurlingua school has many lodgings option managed
directly by its service of welcome: family houses , apartments,
studio and students residence.
Academic
Azurlingua provides linguistic and cultural knowledge
and develops communication skills that emphasise the spoken
expression and comprehension. Illustrations, role playing,
videos, analysis of current newspapers and magazines,
creative exercises, and of course modern communication
tools such as Internet and CD-Rom are used like a resource
of communication. The Azurlingua school’s programmes
are developed in relation with the "European Common
framework for languages" which describes what must
know those who are learning a language in order to be
able to communicate. It also defines the levels of competence
so that the progress of each student can be measured at
each stage of the learning process and at any time of
life. Small-sized groups facilitate the active participation
of each student in different learning activities and allow
the teacher to follow the progress closely and give individual
tailor-made corrections. Groups are organised on the basis
of written and spoken tests taken on the first day. The
program is determined according to the objectives of each
level.
Activities
Azurlingua gives great importance to free time and organises
cultural and sport activities and stimulate the linguistic
interchanges between the students and the team of professors
and entertainers. Almost every day the animation team
proposes an activity. Trips to the Côtes-d'Azur,
old Nice, Monaco, Antibes, Saint Tropez..., to Nice museums
(Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art, Museum Henri
Matisse, Museum Marc Chagall...)and also visits to the
cinema, theater, restaurants, discotheques, wine and cheeses
tasting. The sport lovers will be able to practice Tennis,
squash, diving, sailing, , roller, canoeing, rafting,
etc.
