Description
Located on the Mediterranean Sea, Montpellier is a young
and dynamic city, very famous by its cultural events and
students. The temperature average fluctuates from 10°C
in winter to 30°C in summer and the city have 320
days of sun per year. In almost 3 hours Paris can be reached
by trains of high speed or one hour of airplane. The school
is located in the neighbourhoods of the famous "Place
de la Comedie", in the pedestrian area of Montpellier’s
heart. It is possible to enjoy its numerous restaurants
sunny terraces, stores, cinemas, etc. The building is
constructed in a traditional style with modern comforts,
10 airy and sunny classrooms. The school has a living
room with books, newspapers, TV and videos, a dining room,
where the students share the lunch with tea, coffee and
fresh drinks.
Lodging
All the types of lodging are available: host family with
half board, individual rooms, university campus, student
residences and individual lodging.
Academics
The school have general courses throughout the year and
also summer courses. During the year the courses begin
the first Monday of every month. By the end of the course,
a certificate is extended that can grant university credits.
The general French courses are in the afternoon and lasts
between 1 and 16 weeks. They can prepare DELF and DALF
exams. Also there are conversation, advanced officer training
courses and professional French. In summer, there are
courses à la carte” with a minimum duration
of 2 weeks accompanied by cultural activities.
Activities
The student can choose different activities: film workshops,
theater, songs, wine, publicity, cinema club, journalism
writing, etc. The school promotes the cultural encounter
with French by activities or going out: surveys in street
and stores, wine-tasting, exhibitions... After class the
equipment offers suppers, concerts etc. In the kitchen,
(tea, coffee, meals) only French is spoken.
